Recipe Post Special- Shrove Tuesday

Hey!

First and foremost, thanks you for all your kind comments. As always, every comment brightens my day just that little but more.

Recently, I've been tying traditions on special occasions recipes.  For example, the Valentine's Special, New Year's Special.  Recently,  I celebrated my 1st year anniversary and now here I am, writing up a post for Shrove Tuesday(2nd in a row).

If you were not aware, Shrove Tuesday falls on the last day before Ash Wednesday , a.k.a, the first day of Lent. This commemoration dates back to the 16th century, involving Christians repenting their sins in preparation of Lent. Shrove Tuesday, otherwise known as Pancake Day/Pancake Tuesday, is  the opportunity to get rid of any indulgences as well as use up any fatty food for the upcoming occurrence, Lent. However, non-Christians also celebrate this occasion for the chance to eat yummy pancakes.😋

This year, yet again I'm participating in this event, making my own pancakes.

In order to make the above, you'll require:

125g of plain flour

2 eggs, medium-sized

300ml of milk

Pinch of salt.

Baking in the making(method):

Beat the eggs together with a fork, pouring flour into the bowl ion order to create a "well" (images shall be left below).

Pour the eggs into the "well" and whisk together. Gradually, add in the milk.

Place the mix into the fridge for half an hour.

Once half an hour is up, rub oil around a non-stick pan.

Using a ladle, spoon your mixture onto the frying pan.

A couple minutes later, give your pancake a jiggle, flip it to fry the other side.

Serving options depend where you receive your inspiration from. Mine was sourced from "Tescos Real Food Magazine",containing multitude suggestions.

Prior to this post ending:

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT:

I may/may not be taking a break from BakingBoutique for a short period of time due to an upcoming piano exam which I MUST practice for.

Question of the day: Do you believe Hgh School; Musical was the best musical movie of the 21st century? I  hate to cause conflict but I sure think it is! Not long ago, I  encountered Ashley Tisdale's(who played the role of Sharpay) YouTube channel. To be honest,  I really like what I've seen:

Her collab with HSM co-star-Vanessa!

Potentially,  I could be fan-girling over... Ashley Tisdale
Her beautiful baking(even if it's a LITTLE sweet)

Cupcake of the month- if you are not aware, I invented a new feature to the end of my posts named above.
